Hi there! Thanks for visiting. I am a licensed therapist in the state of North Dakota with several years of clinical experience in community mental health agencies, secondary & post-secondary academia, crisis intervention, and private practice settings.

When I am not seeing clients, I am with my husband, step-children, and our two frenchton pups, Wesley and Jocko, who I lovingly added photos here for our enjoyment. You may see them snorting around the office from time to time! I love to be outside, decorate spaces, renovate, and learn about and tend to my plants at home and in my office. I spend most of my days either being very active or a pile on my couch. There is no in-between.
My favorite part about being a therapist is helping clients get to the root of their challenges so they are able to live a life they are proud of. I am a big fan of learning from others and feel drawn to my client's stories. Stories of resiliency, culture, relationship dynamics, overcoming hardship, finding connection, you name it, I'm here for it. I'd love to hear your story.
My Approach
I use evidence based interventions in a 'real' way that feels most natural and applicable to the client. No fluff, no homework (unless you really want it), and definitely no judgement. I like to incorporate humor when appropriate, and am skilled with challenging clients to look inward.
I have earned the reputation of being "direct", which just means I will be honest (respectfully) with my clients to challenge awareness, and I expect the same in return. Let's have tough conversations, that's where the growth is for you and for me.
We can talk about what your goals are in therapy and I will tailor my approach to you, as long as it is within my scope. It is my goal to help you feel safe and encouraged when you are digging into difficult things and challenging yourself.

For those looking for specific treatment approaches, some of the most consistent interventions I draw from are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
